    Hello peeps...You know how dA did the 3-day challenge with the new Watch thing for beta testers and seniors? 

I did at least 2 days of it because...it was buggy for a long time....so i kinda failed it...sorry dA...Maybe I am just way too much of a nostalgia tard.

I also have pros and cons for it and I want to share it all

Cons
I dislike the look of the new notification bar Disbelief ....Maybe because I'm so use to the current one or maybe it has its strange ways of working.
  • 1. I like the look of the current icons now...They're nice, simple and straight to the point.
  • 2.deviantART Groups :points: :note: :star: and those other icons on the current look more simple and less misleading. They're especially more ORIGINAL. The new one looks HELLA boring and similar to the mainstream social websites. It really gets old after awhile. I barely use Facebook anyways... I think it's better to be functional than fashionable 
  • 3.I dislike also how the profile icon's options are too many. You have manage deviations which is more for the submit button and stash is like really hidden. I didn't see it on my first time using the new watch.
  • 4. There's also such a HUGE gap in the middle of the navigation bar. I think they should add Daily Deviations a button for the navigation bar. They should also add Undiscovered as well because they are more hidden than before.
  • 5. BUG:When I scrolled down on some profiles, they were glitching because of the navigation bar following. It works on Tumblr, and Facebook but not DeviantArt due to people profile pages. It also feels too distracting. The color will also make certain profile look out of place such as a really really cute profile then when you drag down, you see a dark bar over it making the page lose its luster.
  • 6. Did I mention the rocket ship is WAY too misleading. And EXPLORE..? Really. Browse sounds better anyway.
  • 7. I like seeing if some of my friends are online so taking that option out was dumb.
  • 8. I also like dragging and dropping art to my collections without having to click on it all the time...Can you bring that back please.
  • 9. Consolidating the groups likes that in the new groups thing takes up TOO much space especially if you run or work in a LOT. Give us an option to make it just text like the current one so it'll take up less space.
  • 10. I like seeing how many messages I have on my dA account...kinda unfair to take that away from us to those who like seeing them. I also want to see my group messages considering I use it.
  • 11. Plus you already change the navigation bar already last year and now you wish to change it again already? I would understand if it was like three years or 4 but only within a year? Some people are still use to the old version since a previous staff made a CSS of the old. 
The only con I have with the new Watch is that the bugs. There's certain cases that the pin button wouldn't respond. That's really it.

I REALLY HATE HOW DAILY DEVIATIONS ARE REALLY HIDDEN NOW THAN BEFORE! Took me time just to find it! I can't even find the Undiscovered tab without having to switch back.


Unless if you're still working on that, please bring back Undiscovered!

But who cares...they're going to change it anyway....so why bother....Roll Eyes 


PROS
  1. I do like the drag down menu when you're hovering over the icons. 
  2. I like the new watch page surprisingly! I can now pin specific artist I wish to stalk visit without getting lost in them with others
  3. The color on the new watch page makes everything more popping. BUT NO MATTER WHAT I STILL LIKE THE GREEN! deviantART Heart 
Suggestions
  1. Add a Daily Deviations button in the Navigation Bar since you won't ever bring the loving footer back. That way people can check them constantly more since the views have drastically dropped. Hiding them in the Menu Button only makes it worse.
  2. Add an Undiscovered tab as well in the Navigator Bar. What's the point of all that space if there's no use for it. This isn't Facebook or Twitter. I still have urges for the Navigation Bar currently with all the extra space.
  3. KEEP THE CURRENT ICONS NOW ON THE NAVIGATION BAR...or at least the format of seeing how many messages you have instead of not seeing them. 
  4. OR PIZZAZZ THE NEW ICONS BETTER...They're soooooooooooooooooo boring! I LIKE COLOR!
  5. Add a group icon for the new navigation bar...
  6. Give us an option to have the navigation bar follow us down that way some pretty pages can still look pretty. 
  7. Add A Friend List on the Navigation Bar. How else am I suppose to know who is on or not so I can negotiate with my friends.
  8. Maybe add a birthday widget int he hover down menu?
  9. Be original deviantArt.... I know you have to keep up with the mainstream but that doesn't mean the site already is mainstream, considering dA came WAY before Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Tumblr. Just look at what happened to Myspace. Once it hit mainstream to be like Facebook...it went downhill more than ever. I even forgot my own password on Myspace. I like dA for its originality. Now that you're hitting mainstream, I feel more drifting because you chose to be something you're not.
It's hard to get with the times honestly...I get it. I have no choice but to once dA changes it anyway. That doesn't mean I will stay. DA has really been lacking on community recently. I try to get back on track but it's not the same anymore. No one is barely giving a crap now these days. I really am dissapointed about that. I'm getting better feedback on tumblr...isn't that strange...?

I got the new Watch 2.0 preview, as well. Everything was black. I really hate that you can't add art to your collections anymore by dragging, either. They've removed a lot of easy-access buttons, too. I shut it off. ._. The black version, at least. I'm still stuck with the dark green update version. Simpler and less slow, but I miss the old dA; the one with less cons.
